Fantastic course! Very engaging and informative with real world practical application. I know that this course is going to be useful to me personally in dealing with family members and work colleagues whom I have noticed symptoms in already.
Excellent course and the instructors set a calm and open tone allowing for frank and open discussion. this enables participants to share often quite deep painful personal moments and feelings with the group and this was both informative and useful in illustrating the mental health issues affecting us all and also the frequency. overall a very good course which has given me the tools to be able to attempt to assist someone having difficulty with a mental health issue, where I would have been reluctant before.
The instructor had a great appreciation and understanding of the subject and was able to convey situations in different ways. This has given me the confidence to approach different issues with the people I have contact with in my employment and civilian life
The way the days were structured was great and flowed very well. Steve created a relaxed and inclusive environment to learn in and would recommended the course to any of colleagues.
I highly recommend this course to everyone in the British Army, especially those in the medical sector that deal with this day in and out. The instructors were really engaging and informative yet it was a relaxed environment and funny at times too which broke it up and made it easier to talk through! I really enjoyed the fact that everyone was very open about experiences and I thoroughly enjoyed it. (I will be passing information through my unit for personnel to sign up) Thanks guys.
Providing recognised and accredited courses like this will significantly aid the penetration of these vital skills and MH mindfulness into organisations such as the Armed Forces. This course was pitched at about the right level to build a network of MH vigilant and receptive personnel. I would be very interested in any further more detailed courses that are released as time progresses, as this would enable companies to build sustainable MH organisations with hierarchical expertise and KSE.
To treat mental health disorder as serious as any other illnesses and have a totally new perspective on how I relate to people on a daily basis because you never know if someone is suffering in silence. Working on making myself more approachable and pay attention to what people are saying to me.
